“Klinikgo welcomes the collaboration with USAID ERAT, and our focus is on digitalization of clinics in rural areas because, without collaboration, we can’t get our vision to work. This principle of collaboration was carried out long ago with other communities and organizations.”

Improving governance and digital transformation is very important, especially for health service facilities, to facilitate public access to obtain and enhance the quality of health services. USAID ERAT (Effective, Efficient, and Strong Governance) supports the Government of Indonesia in improving public services, including through private sector involvement.
USAID ERAT succeeded in facilitating the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Klinikgo and two private health clinics: Daarussa’adah and Andhika Homecare, in Lebak, Banten Province. On November 24, 2022, the MOU was signed to enable both clinics to enhance their services, including online appointment systems, customer and medical record systems, inventory systems, and payment gateways to allow payments via bank transfers, credit cards, virtual accounts, and e-wallets, utilizing the method developed by Klinikgo.
Another goal of modernizing clinical health services is the implementation of Ministry of Health Regulation No. 24/2022 concerning medical records and integration with One Health (Care to Protect). This service can be used by members of the national health insurance system (Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional, JKN) and can be used free of charge, while non-JKN users are charged a fee of 2% for each service. From this collaboration, Klinikgo gets benefits, one of which is expanding users in rural areas.
This collaboration resulted from two workshops held in September and November 2022 which were supported by USAID ERAT to facilitate the local government of Lebak and private sector actors in the district to promote collaboration in public service provision.
“Klinikgo welcomes the collaboration with USAID ERAT, and our focus is on digitalization clinics in rural areas because, without collaboration, we can’t get our vision to work. This principle of collaboration was carried out long ago with other communities and organizations,” explained Ogy Winenriandhika, Founder of Klinikgo.
Winendriandhika elaborated that Klinikgo focuses on improving the governance of health service facility management, independent/private practice clinics and frontline health facilities, which also tries to help independent practice services and the frontline facilities become connected with Satu Sehat. According to him, one of the challenges in health services is how to advance digital health services in the rural areas. They hope to do this through USAID ERAT in the future.
This initiative is expected to create tangible improvements in service delivery that can be replicated in other private and government health clinics in Lebak and other districts supported by USAID ERAT.
